Membership Regulations
  • Membership is open to all foreign passport holders.
  • Annual Membership Fee:
    Single/couple/family: RMB250
    Student enrolled in a Chinese University: RMB150
    (BIS only accepts cash by hand)
  • Fill out MEMBERSHIP FORM and pay MEMBERSHIP FEE at ANY EVENING EVENT. Please arrive early so we can process your membership before program starts. Inn Meetings. Held last Monday of very month at the Capital Club Athletic Center at 10:00am.
  • Membership includes the family (children over 12 years.) BIS events are of educational and cultural nature, not recreational, thus children under 12 are not invited unless stipulated otherwise.
  • Membership Cards are your receipt and for identification, please bring your card to all events.
  • Newsletter. All Members receive a monthly Newsletter (July/August excepted.)
  • Renewal of Membership. A reminder will be sent with your Newsletter before your subscription expires. Please renew within 30 days otherwise you will not continue to receive your Newsletter.
  • Guest or one-only lecture. Members may bring guests who hold foreign passports for a fee per lecture of RMB 50 or RMB 20 for students.




The BIS Newsletter is dispatched to all current members in the last week of every month and contains details about our upcoming events. In addition, our website found at www.beijinginternationalsociety.com always has the latest information about our upcoming events. Reminder: Members and Guests (foreign passport holders) are welcome to the events. Please bring your membership card and I.D. to all events. All BIS events are off the record and neither photography, filming nor recording of any kind is permitted.
