Ms. Namu Yang Erche was born into the Mosuo ethnic minority group in Sichuan. She left her village on foot at age 13, walking several days to get to the nearest town connected to a road. She became a singer, recorded albums and went on to write two books about her life. The first Walking Out of the Daughter's Kingdom and the second Return will soon be joined by a third. Name will talk about her hometown, its customs and culture and the impact of this matriarchal society on the community's organization, its daily life and family relationships.
