Day Trip to Ji Xian

There are three interesting sites included on this excursion. One site is notable for architectural achievement, one for its natural beauty, and one a new tourist site.

The Monastary of Solitary Joy (Du Le Si) has two temples. One, considered an architectural masterpiece is remarkable for its roof and ceiling, central well, and natural lighting. It has a finely carved statue of the Chinese goddess, Guan Yin, which is as fine a piece of art as the temple itself.

A stop will be made to view Pan Shan, an unusual rock formation mountain, the top of which is often enveloped in mist.

Finally, we will visit Ji Xian Wall, a newly reconstructed section of the Great Wall recently opened to tourists.
