I Ching (=Yi Jing) or Book of Changes has sustained a continuous influence in China for 3000 years and is attracting a growing attention from the West. Beginning as a book of oracles, the Book of Changes gradually became a book of wisdom and eventually became one of the Five Classics of Confucianism. It constitutes the common source of both Confucianist and Taoist philosophy.

Dr. Wong Bo, an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Beijing University with whom BIS is already familiar with the excellent lecture on Lao Zi last Spring, will talk about the unique way of thinking conveyed in the Book of Changes.
