Noble Beijing: The Officials, Princes and Warlords of Nanluoguxiang

BIS presents a different kind of Beijing city walk: a Saturday morning outing to Nanluoguxiang Hutong (South “Gong and Drum” Lane) with Kasia Harrold and Wojciech Jakóbiec.

Join a team, grab a map, and with your clues, tasks and challenges in hand, discover the hidden history of this 800-year-old neighborhood and its 16 meandering and preserved hutong while you follow the footprints of all who lived here: officials, generals, marshals, presidents, princes and lords—the most celebrated of the Ming and Qing nobility.

This Saturday morning outing is limited to 30 BIS members, reservations only.
BIS events are open to foreign passport holders only.

All BIS events are off-the-record.

Photography, filming and recording are not permitted.
