Embassy of Luxembourg
Nei Wu Bu Jie
BIS will resume its new year with a special programme, combining a visit to an old Beijing building with an out-door traditional Chinese music concert. The Luxembourg Embassy will be generously opening its doors for this occasion; this private building, built in 1937 and located in one of the old Beijing hutongs, is a rare diplomatic address outside the current diplomatic quarters in this capital and retains the old 'legation' atmosphere. A brief history and presentation of the building is on the programme alongside a concert by a group of talented young professionals, all graduates of the Central Music Academy. The concert will also include introduction of each traditional Chinese musical instrument. '
This event will take place on a Saturday afternoon, 3 p.m., in the garden of the Embassy. Should there be heavy rain the event may have to be postponed. Limited parking space (close to the Luxembourg Embassy) is provided for those coming by car. Please find below a map (recommended to take along even if you intend to come by taxi), and make sure you follow strictly the directions when driving in.
