Tour: Yun Ju Si
Ginny Anami
The Yun Ju Si is located about 2.5 hours’ drive southwest of Beijing. It is most famous for its collection of Buddhist sutras carved into stone slabs from 605 A.D. and over the next 1,000 years. Many of these were discovered sealed up in caves on the hill behind the temple. The tour will include explanations of the small temple museum, its unique pagodas, and a climb up Stone Scripture Hill.
